Len was the sixth child of Martin L & Edith Sleeman and grew up in the Forest of Dean "an island" in between Wales and England.  Only Len and the eldest child, Emily, moved away from the Forest.  Len died 1st May 2001 - funeral.

Margaret was the first child of Kenneth M & Eliza Duff (ne Stuart) and lived with her brother Dan and sister Dorothy in Dunkeld, Perthshire, Scotland until, in the mid 1920's at age ten, she and the family moved to Coventry, Warwickshire (now West Midlands).  Dan was killed in Japan during WW2.   Dorothy married Jim Watkins and they still live in Coventry.  Mum was always there to help neighbours and was keenly involved with Girl Guides.  Mum always enjoyed Porlock, where her family had a house and as children we all enjoyed super holidays by the sea in the beautiful countryside.  Her last day started in Porlock!   Only six months earlier they celebrated 60 years of marriage.

Mum & Dad met in the Forest of Dean and Len decided to move to Coventry, where Margaret could be close to her family after her Dad's early death .   Len worked for the GEC as a welder and later managed the "heat treatment" plant until his retirement.  He has always had green fingers, growing fruit, veg and flowers and working on his allotment when not at the GEC.  He also still enjoys singing and has visited Canada with the Mail Voice Praise.  My parents were always dedicated Christians and passed their faith onto their children.
